Olbermann on Habeas Corpus

Olbermann continues to be the raise the bar for editorial commentary in journalism. Rather than using the demonizing tactics of commentators on the Right, Olbermann challenges our intellect by exploring our history and making connections to the issues we face today. His commentary on habeas corpus is biting and inspiring. While he misses the most obvious example of the suspension of habeas corpus (Lincoln in the Civil War), Olbermann is a prophetic voice against the Orwellian forces of the Bush administration. In this world we fight for freedom by stripping us and other of the most basic freedoms. We must confront the administration and the Republican Congress that put up a fleeting and disingenuous resistance to this law.
